Update! Moving, Exploring, Books and More!

by - August 21, 2019

Oh. My. Gosh! So much has happened recently! I don’t even know where to begin! I moved out of my parents house for the second time, and into my new place 2.5 hours away. I’ve explored the little town of Whiting, IN, started a new job, visited Chicago a bunch, met up with an old friend, and began pursuing more things that really speak to my heart and purpose!
      Wow.
I have explored a ton of new places and I’m going to list them here!
On top of that! I’ve been renovating my apartment and I can’t wait to make a new post/video on the finished product!
      AND
I have more book recommendations, more tips and tricks, and more content coming very soon!
To be honest, this post is nothing spectacular or all too helpful (like the majority of my posts). This post is purely for me to rant, share some pictures, and get back into my blog!
I will share below a few popular places I’ve visited in the last week and give reviews so I suppose this post isn’t completely useless?
Anyway, I wanted to talk about growth. I feel so full of joy and happiness. I can see my growth taking place and I can physically feel everything settling in as it should. I was meant to be here and I am beyond grateful.
I hope that someday, (to whoever is reading this), will find this same feeling wherever you are meant to be.

And now, I have a ton of goals laid out for me:
  •  finish decorating the new space
  •   Minimize my wardrobe/makeup/odd beauty collections
  •   Record an apartment tour + minimalist video
  •  Write blog posts about: Whiting, Coding, Moving, Religion, and Goal setting ! ! !
  •   Work on a “secret” project to share with you guys!
There’s a lot to come! And I feel sort of bad that I haven’t been working on a lot of it. I hope today proves to be a little more productive.
Until then, thank you for reading this update! I’m going to share a few photos from my journeys and I hope you enjoy!

And because I didn't have a blog post for this (I'm awful) here is what I read in July!

What I Read: July

Pillow Thoughts by Courtney Peppernell

I've read this book once or twice before but each time I go back, it hits me a little bit differently. Maybe that's how we can measure our growth, by rereading old books and seeing on our emotional ties with them change and evolve.
I love the style of Peppernell's poetry and it's one of the first poetry collections I ever bought and actually cherished.

Courtney Peppernill

In truth, this is how I've been reading much of Peppernell's work. Her Instagram (link here) showcases poetry spread across the entire Pillow Thoughts series. I don't own books 2 & 3, therefore, I have to live vicariously through her Instagram. It's beautiful and I think you should check her out.

Love lasts by Savannah Totten

I was lucky enough to be a beta reader for this book (not sure if I was a very helpful beta reader, but at least I enjoyed it!). Love Lasts is an unpublished romance book (at the moment) by Savannah Totten. The book documents Totten's romantic relationship with her current husband, from the moment they met up until present day.
The book is vastly different from the genres I normally read, however, I have to admit that I enjoyed the story very much.
I found the story to be very realistic and inspiring. Not only that, but it was a heartwarming real-life tale that encouraged me that qualms I face, I do not face alone.

That's all I have for this post. It was more of an update than anything and that's okay! I plan to do some more work and get another post out for you guys real soon!

Until then, be sure to check out some of my more recent posts below. And if you haven't already, subscribe to my newsletter!
